myGym Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 November 2026

myGym is developed by morg, operated by Sameh Morgan. This policy explains how information is handled when you use myGym for iPhone or iPad, contact us, or visit its website.

Your workout data stays on your device

myGym stores the information you enter in the app on your device. This includes exercise names and muscle groups; target and achieved weights, sets and repetitions; workout dates and history; programs, training days and scheduling changes. Records also include internal identifiers and creation and modification dates.

The app uses this information to display your routines, record completed exercises and calculate workout statistics. myGym does not require a morg account and does not send your workout records to morg or a developer-operated server. We cannot view your in-app records unless you choose to send them to us.

Advertising, tracking and permissions

The current app does not include advertising, third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. It does not access Apple Health, contacts, location, the camera or the microphone. Your workout information is not sold or used for advertising.

Backups, restore and recovery

When you choose Backup Data, myGym creates a JSON file containing your app records and backup information, such as its creation date and record counts. You choose where to save that file through the system file picker. If you select iCloud Drive or another storage provider, that provider handles the file under its own privacy terms. Saving an exported file to cloud storage is separate from automatic syncing of your myGym database.

Exported backup files are not separately encrypted by myGym. Anyone who can access the file may be able to read its contents. Keep backups in a location you trust and share them only when intended.

Restore Data replaces the current records with the contents of the backup you select. Before a restore, myGym saves a local recovery copy so Recover Data can return to the records from before the restore.

Retention and deletion

App records remain on your device until you remove them, replace them through a restore, or remove the app and its data. You can use More → Data Backup & Restore → Delete Existing Data to clear the active database.

Delete Existing Data also keeps a local recovery copy. Clearing the active database therefore does not immediately erase every copy of your records. A later restore or deletion can replace that recovery copy, and successfully using Recover Data removes the recovery file after restoring its contents.

To remove the app’s local database and recovery file, delete the app and its data through your device’s storage settings rather than offloading it. Backups exported to Files, cloud storage, other devices or recipients are separate copies and must be deleted separately. Your device’s backup services may also retain app data according to your settings and the provider’s policies. morg cannot remotely delete copies held on your device or in storage you control.

App Store purchases and Apple services

If you purchase a myGym subscription through the App Store, Apple processes the purchase and handles your Apple Account and payment information under its own terms. morg does not receive your card details. Apple may provide transaction or subscription information needed to confirm access, together with sales reports available to developers.

Apple may separately process device backup or diagnostic information according to your device settings and its policies. See Apple’s Privacy Policy. App Store privacy disclosures will describe the data handling of the version submitted to the store.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include, such as your message, screenshots or an attached backup. We use it to respond, investigate the issue and provide support. Please avoid sending workout records or other personal information unless needed for your request.

Support messages are handled through email providers and may be stored or processed outside Australia. We retain support correspondence as needed to respond and resolve the matter, and where required for legal or record-keeping purposes. You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information you have sent us; we will respond and explain any information we need to retain.

This website

The myGym website is hosted by Cloudflare. When you visit, Cloudflare may process technical information such as your IP address and request details to deliver and secure the site. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

The website remembers your screenshot Light/Dark selection in your browser’s local storage. This preference is not sent to morg and can be removed by clearing the site’s browser data. The current website does not include advertising or third-party analytics scripts. Clicking an external link takes you to a service with its own privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page when myGym or its data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Changes involving new data collection will be reflected in the app’s disclosures and permissions as appropriate.

For questions, access or deletion requests about information you have sent us, or a privacy concern, contact Sameh Morgan at samehmorgan@bigpond.com. We will consider your concern and respond.
