myBills Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 November 2026

myBills is developed by morg, operated by Sameh Morgan. This policy explains how information is handled when you use myBills for iPhone or iPad, contact us, or visit its website.

Information you enter

myBills stores the records you create, including bill names and providers; categories; account labels; due dates and repeat schedules; expected and paid amounts; payment dates; automatic-deduction labels; and notes. Records also contain internal identifiers, timestamps and change history used to maintain consistency and support syncing.

This information is used to show what is due, maintain your payment history, calculate spending summaries, and provide the backup, export and sync features you choose to use. Account names are labels you enter, not connections to a bank. myBills does not ask for bank passwords, connect to bank accounts or transfer money. Marking a bill as automatically deducted does not authorise a transaction.

Local storage and developer access

Your records are stored in a database within the app’s storage on your device. You do not need a morg account. myBills does not upload your bill or payment records to a developer-operated server, and morg cannot view them unless you choose to send them to us, for example in a support message.

Optional iCloud sync

If you prepare iCloud sync and choose Sync Now in More → iCloud Sync, myBills exchanges record changes through a private CloudKit database in your Apple iCloud account. Uploaded changes can contain the bill, payment, account, category and schedule details involved, along with collection identifiers, operation identifiers, timestamps and conflict-resolution information.

The current sync workflow is initiated by you using Sync Now; records are not automatically uploaded merely by opening the app or preparing a device. Other devices signed into the same iCloud account and set up for the same myBills collection can receive these changes. Apple processes iCloud information under its own terms and privacy policy. Private iCloud storage is separate from a morg account or developer-operated database.

Cloud sync keeps a history of changes. Editing or deleting a visible record does not necessarily erase the earlier values from sync history. Start Sync Again removes the current collection’s private iCloud sync zone and resets local sync metadata, but it keeps the device’s bill records. A subsequent sync can upload those records again. Resetting one collection does not erase exported files or copies already present on other devices.

Widgets

To display upcoming bills, myBills shares a local snapshot with its own widget extension using an app-group storage area on the same device. The snapshot contains bill names, icons, due dates and internal bill identifiers; it is not the full payment database. Widget content may be visible to people who can see your Home Screen or Lock Screen. You can remove the widget or adjust your device’s widget visibility settings.

Backups, restore and CSV exports

Export Backup creates a SQLite file containing your business records and related database information. Export CSV Data creates a file for the type of information you select: bills, payments, accounts or categories. CSV files may include names, amounts, dates, account labels and notes.

You choose the destination using the system file picker. Files saved to iCloud Drive or another provider are handled under that provider’s policies. Exported backups and CSV files are not separately encrypted by myBills, so anyone with access to them may be able to read their contents. Choose a storage location you trust.

Before restoring a backup, the app lets you review it and saves a local copy of the current database for recovery. That recovery file can contain records from before the restore and remains separate from the active database. Exported copies and files you share remain wherever you or the recipient save them.

Retention, access and deletion

You can view and correct records in the app and export data through More. Records, recovery copies and sync history remain in their respective storage locations until replaced or removed. Deleting a payment from the visible history does not promise erasure of all earlier copies, backups or sync operations.

To remove local app data, delete the app and its data through the device’s storage settings rather than offloading it. The app also has local widget storage. Remove its widgets, and contact us if you need help managing a remaining widget snapshot. Deleting the app on one device does not itself remove private iCloud sync history, records on other devices, device backups or files exported to Files or cloud storage.

For a broader removal, manage each copy separately: use the iCloud sync reset where applicable, remove local app data on the relevant devices, and delete exports and backups you control. Avoid syncing retained copies afterwards, as they may upload records again. Apple or another storage provider may retain backup or service copies according to its policies. Contact us if you need help identifying the relevant controls; morg cannot remotely erase data held on your devices or in your private iCloud account.

Advertising, analytics and permissions

The current app does not contain advertising or third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. It does not access contacts, location, the camera, microphone or Apple Health. Your bill and payment information is not sold or used for advertising.

Apple may separately process App Store, device backup and diagnostic information according to your settings. If you make an App Store purchase, Apple handles payment information; morg does not receive your card details. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Support correspondence

If you contact us, we receive your email address and anything you include, such as your message, screenshots or attachments. We use it to respond and investigate your request. Please do not send bank credentials or unnecessary personal financial records. A screenshot or backup may contain private information, so check it before sharing.

Email providers may store or process support correspondence outside Australia. We retain correspondence as needed to address the matter and meet legal or record-keeping requirements. You can request access, correction or deletion of personal information you have sent us. We will respond and explain any information we need to retain.
